Ducks laugh in my neighbor’s yard
A sound filled with derision
Obviously, they see the big picture,
Get the big, universal prank…
Guffawing at Gambits
Chortling at Chicanery
Hooting at Hypocrisy
Superior in their Jocularity.
Perhaps they are simply happy.
I hope theChinese family who feeds them
Doesn’t have a very different feast in mind.
I would miss sitting at my window
Cachinnating as I caffeinate,
Laughing with them.
(In on their joke).
