A strange derangement of thoughts

Posted on August 12, 2010 at 2:13 PM

I consulted myself

on this

that when I sleep,

ideas break the surface;

a tide that would not allow me

time,

both during the waking

hours

and while

contemplating.

I find that strange.

If it were to be such

a secret

only dreams are privy,

I want to be

only in dreams;

that way I know

what my spirit

wants

and where it is

I should go.

What if... you dreamt you were dreaming?
or.. you woke up into a dream?
You might disagree with that spirit, about where it's going.

Bit deep for me, although like Jipper, I did once dream that I dreamed.

Was that the point or did I miss something?

Thanks Phil/Jip
Dreams are run-away thoughts ? deep falling if you will. We are not in control during sub-consciousness, but many times that?s beauty of them, unless, of course, nightmares intrude. They are unstable, thus strange and this really what I?m saying ? it?s not that deep. Ideas come from dreams if they break the surface, i.e. one can remember them ? I find it frustrating if they dissolve on waking. There?s more to the poem than I?ve explained but basically this is the essence of it. :)
